How shared animals are processed

Quarter and half shares use our Standard Processing Selection

An animal owned by more than one family is cut once, so quarter and half share owners do not submit individual custom cut sheets. Robertson Acres sets a Standard Processing Selection with the processor — steak thickness, roast sizes, ground beef packaging and similar choices — and publishes it on your reservation page before processing day.

Finished packages are then divided equitably in proportion to your ownership percentage. Cuts and package counts vary naturally between shares, so specific cuts or exact package counts can't be guaranteed. Whole-animal owners may request a custom cut sheet, which Robertson Acres enables case by case. Custom slaughter and processing fees are billed separately by the processor.
